The capabilities of mobile devices have become really advanced over the last few years. With a mobile device the user has the choice of watching a movie, listening to music, playing a game, reading a book or surfing the web, as well as much more. Mobile devices actually allow us to do pretty much the same things that we can do on our computers or laptops. So you may be wondering whether there is even a need for a laptop or a computer anymore. What is the point in having a computer or laptop when it can't really do any more than our mobile devices which actually fit in out pockets and can be carried about with us? This is becoming a more commonly asked question that deserves to be answered.

 

While it is true that the mobile device can now do most of the things that a home computer can do this isn't to say that it does them as well. For instance, although you could create a document using your iPhone, you probably wouldn't choose to do it this way. You would more than likely get very annoyed and frustrated if you had to write a long article using your iPhone because it would take quite a long time using a tiny keypad. So even though mobile devices are capable of doing things that the laptop and computer can do, they will probably not take their place any time soon. Sure, the iPad is great for playing games, but it just does not provide the same enjoyment as something like a Playstation 3 or Xbox.

 

Mobile devices are very advanced and will probably become more so as time goes on. However it will probably be a long time before they are advanced enough to take over from a home computer totally.
